Ma’am

Hello, Friends.

I sure hope this note finds you well and taking good care as we shift from summer to fall.  How are you? How was summer for you? Summer was pretty quiet at home playing music and preparing to play out. It's been quite the journey navigating life post-Covid. A lot of music work went away and so I've shifted to grants and patronage to support the music and me. Learning a bunch. Grateful. This work was made possible by the generous support of Office of Arts & Culture/Hope Grant, Artist Trust, 4Culture, The Fellow Ship, Continuum Culture & Arts, Inc., The Center at Orchard Hill and you.

Thank you for your support. "I 'preciate 'choo!" as my sister Dawn used to say.

Thursday, November 2nd in Seattle I’ll share music inspired by the lives, works and wisdoms of women of colour. Maya Angelou, Nikki Giovanni and Elizabeth “Libba” Cotten, to name a few. This work is dedicated to my Mother, Barbara J. Pruitt Rhodes and is called “Ma’am.”

Here’s an invitation and info to this show: check it out. Hope to see you there.

Again, thank you so much.

Take good care.

(((Love)))
